Mary was an intern with American Environmental Network as an environmental analytical chemist while obtaining her Bachelors of Science in Environmental Science with a minor in Chemistry. She also has a Master’s in Public Administration with a concentration in Sustainable Community Development. She worked as an environmental analytical chemist at Law Engineering and Environmental Services and Severn Trent Laboratories prior to working with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection where she worked in the Department’s Air Resource Management Program and Wetland Resource Program. Mary also worked as an Environmental Planner for the West Florida Regional Planning Council. She has over twenty years of experience as an Environmental Professional.

 

Maryis currently the Executive Director of Earth Ethics, Inc. a non-profit organization that conducts grant research, writing and administration, on the ground implementation of restoration and stabilization projects, environmentally – based outreach and education, and water quality sampling and analysis. Mary is also the Co-Founder and Co- Owner is the founder and owner of Stella Maris Consortium, LLC. Stella Maris Consortium, LLC is an ecological consulting firm created to assist the residents along the Gulf Coast with environmental issues and concerns and to gain a better understanding local, state, and national rules and regulations.

 

Mary has a long history with the Northwest Chapter of FAEP. She has served as Treasurer, Vice-President, and has served as the Chapter President twice. Mary was instrumental in securing the 2012 FAEP Annual Conference to be held in historic Pensacola. She served as the Event Coordinator and on the Speaker Committee for the Annual Conference. She also re-established the Northwest Chapters scholarship program and annual awards program. She has also served as the Chapter Representative to the State Board for several years before taking on the role of Vice-President. She now serves as the President for the State Board. She is looking forward to implementing several goals that will help move FAEP forward.
